Wilson House (aka Granny's)
*For the background of this house, see the story titled Enid House on the Ghost Story page. This page documents my version of the investigation, which was my first actual time to witness a technical investigation.*
The GHOULI (Ghost Haunts of Oklahoma and Urban Legends Investigations) people came last night to investigate the Broadway House. There were four of them and my mom and I were allowed to go along. They used a regular video camera with Night Shot (which makes it usable in the dark) and digital cameras and a regular tape recorder. They also used a Gauss Meter, which is also called an EMF meter - Electro-Magnetic Field Detector. They would stand in the doorway to a room and stick the digital cameras into the room and snap pictures to see if they captured any strange things in the pictures. They explained that if there were several orbs in a picture, then it was probably from dust, but if there was only one or two that were alone and bright, then their theory was that those were paranormal. Normally the things they capture are on film, and not actually seen with the naked eye, however, several of us witnessed something they said was very rare. We were all grouped on the upstairs landing and Tonya (the head investigator) was standing right inside Granny's room (aka the green room) and she was video taping and saw a flash of light on the ceiling. She asked if anyone had a watch on or something reflective that might have caused it - no one did and it wasn't a car. Then we saw it again and it swooped across the room. I think she caught it on video. It looked like a small flashlight or when a watch reflects. Two of the guys were standing right inside the door of the nursery (aka the Holiday Inn room) and I was standing right outside of it and we heard a thump on the ceiling right above their heads. We all looked at the same time and verified that we all heard the same noise. We also heard a noise another time come from that same room when no one was in there. Also, when we were checking out that room, we all noticed a smell that got real strong and then it went away a few minutes later. (No, it wasn't gas...) Everything that happened was witnessed by more than one of us. At one point they put the EMF thing on the banister of the stairs and she asked if it was Granny to put her finger on the EMF meter. Then it clicked once. She asked her to do it again and it clicked again. That was a little weird. Tonya thought there was something going on in the basement, too, and they took a lot of pictures there and of the stairway. Anyway - they took a bunch of pictures and video and there was a tape recorder going the entire time. They are going to now analyze everything they collected and will let us know what they found. Whenever they got a picture of something they thought was mentionable, they always showed it to us right then so it wasn't in any way hokey or altered. When we were getting ready to leave, she smudged us all so we wouldn’t take anything home with us. However, when I got home I laid down on the couch and my dog stood right in front of me and started acting very agitated and was staring over and behind me. I couldn’t get his attention. It was like he was looking at someone/thing behind me. He finally quit and went to lay down. Too weird – I didn’t look!
GHOULI captured an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) on audio tape. Tonya Lewis, President of GHOULI, writes:

The EVP has been forwarded to a retired heart specialist for a medical opinion. This single EVP had generated a lot of responses and reaction from the family who is associated with this house.
At this time, GHOULI does feel that this is a true message from beyond, intended for the family of this home. The validation & recognition of the "voice" is an amazing story. The heartbeat is also holds a tremendous impact on the family, it is verifying to the story more than anyone could imagine.
It seems that this one minor EVP has raised a lot of eyebrows since its been posted. It may seem like an insignificant "noise" to some, but to those who are involved it is an amazing piece of evidence, that yes, a person can come back, and make themselves known on a personal level for the family only, not the investigative team. GHOULI is happy to have been able to help them, we will be returning soon. We are thankful the tape recorder was able to pick up this communication effort.
There is only one EVP at this location at this time, audio is still being analyzed.
The EVP you are about to hear is very amazing. Its not the typical "heartbeat" EVP that are listed elsewhere by other teams, this heartbeat is an authentic version on the human heart. This EVP was collected on a Optimus desktop series tape recorder, while placed on a couch alone. There is a faint voice in the background , what its is saying is unknown. GHOULI has sent the EVP to some reputable sources for further analysis.
